Subotica

ASB in coordination action with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social policy, Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations and local government, decided to fund the establishment of the new refugee camp in Subotica.

ASB will provide funds for the adaptation and equipping the Camp, as well as for all necessary infrastructural works. New facilities will have capacity of 100 beds, including: rooms with heating, water, electricity, common rooms, dining room, and the possibility of separate accommodation for pregnant women or mothers with small children. ASB will provide meals for the people who will be staying at the camp. Also, medical care, doctors and nurses will be at disposal to the refugees in this facility. The ASB representatives along with the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, Bavarian Minister for EU Integration, Beate Merk, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social policy, Aleksandar Vulin and Minister of Interior Affairs, Nebojša Stefanović marked the beginning of the reconstruction works of the new building for the refugees in Subotica.

The camp is situated in the vicinity of the old brickyard factory in Subotica where the great number of refugees is staying at this moment. ASB has already set up 4 mobile toilets month ago, but the lack of water and electricity prevented any lasting structural support.
